Play based therapy for kids and families in temple, TX and surrounding communities
When you child feels everything BIG, it can feel like the whole house does too
an approach that supports both children and families
Parents will feel support and to be a part of their child’s healing journey
I help children understand their emotions, manage their reactions, and develop the essential skills they need to thrive both at home and in everyday life. Through play-based, emotion-focused therapy, children have the opportunity to explore their feelings in a way that feels natural, engaging, and meaningful to them.
Because young children often express themselves through actions rather than words, I work closely with them to interpret their behavior and guide them toward recognizing and naming their emotions. This helps children build emotional awareness and learn healthy ways to communicate their needs and feelings.
In our time together, I create a safe, supportive space where children can feel seen and heard, helping them gain confidence, build resilience, and develop coping strategies that will serve them for years to come.
I also partner with parents to help you feel confident when navigating your child’s reactions. My goal is to help your child feel capable, calm, and confident — so you can feel supported and hopeful again.
Throughout my work with your child, you will have an idea of the skills your child is learning and how you can support them at home. When needed, I offer individual sessions for parents to provide extra guidance and support. I also encourage joint sessions with children when there are relationship dynamics that need to be addressed.
Your child is whole and capable. Therapy simply gives them space to grow into the person they are
Play therapy can help your child if they are experiencing:
